NEW STUDIES ADD DNA AMPLIFICATION, DRUG SENSITIVITY, AND ADDITIONAL CANCER SIGNATURES FOR TARGET DISCOVERY AND VALIDATION
As the Oncomine collection of cancer profiling data grows, Compendia Bioscience continually looks for data that can help to unravel the complexity of cancer biology. In this release we introduce a preview of the new aCGH data module as well as updated gene annotations and a new reporter mapping strategy.

As part of our quest to improve the curation and annotation of this data, you may notice that additional differential expression analyses have been added to some of your favorite studies.

  • New Gene Expression Data – Highly curated data from 35 additional studies are now available; more than 34% of these new studies contain data not available from GEO.  more>>
  • Reporter Mapping – Reporter-to-gene mappings have been updated to match the most current information from Entrez Gene and Unigene as well as to reduce ambiguity when a single reporter maps to multiple genes.
  • Array CGH – A preview of the new array CGH module is now available. These six datasets allow users to view DNA amplification data in Oncomine for the first time.  more>>
  • Drug Sensitivity – Three new datasets use information from multiple sources to build drug sensitivity signatures.  more>>
  • Gene Annotation – New gene annotation data from Entrez Gene and Unigene are now available throughout the application.  In addition, the Gene Annotation page contains summaries from Gene Ontologies, KEGG, InterPro, and Drug Bank Targets, in addition to other sources.

More information about the application release is available in the release notes linked from the main page of Oncomine.
